Learning to cluck
So last night DW brought home 64 fertilized eggs. We survived the first night and the babies survived their first car ride to school! The joke was that there were 69 babies on board! I will hopefully be putting up some pics of these eggs in their cozy incubators soon. We'll see how many make it!! We are also praying and hoping in a BIG WAY that they don't hatch over a weekend...=( That would be disappointing! We are feeling very lucky to have these eggs - our egg lady (Hi Tammy!) was very generous and gave us 4 dozen! That will certainly increase our odds for survival. We're continuing to do research on eggs, chicks, raising chickens, etc. I can't wait to hear what DW's students think!
